Split tension

Karen asked

Is it possible to have a mattress half firm and half medium/firm? I don\’t want a zip and link. I am also a bit worried about whether we could then turn the mattress – is there a top and a bottom? I can’t see how to order this on line

Hi Karen,

Thanks for your question.

It is possible to have a split tension in a Kingsize mattress and above.

The only range we can do this in is our Artisan range, these are pocket sprung mattresses with natural fibers.

You can have either Soft/Med or Med/Firm. The Med/Firm you are seeing on our site indicates one side of the mattress medium springs and the other side firm, we do not do intermediate springs.

Regarding turning the mattress you simply need to flip it top to toe, doing it this way you will not lose which side of the bed you sleep on.

BodyweightSpring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kgMedium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call)Soft (1.2mm)

The medium spring is designed to hold weights of 9 st-17 st. The firm spring is designed to hold weights of 17 st and above.

If you require any further assistance please call the office.

Kind Regards Gary
