Stop me bouncing around when partner moves in bed

Emma asked

Hi Mike,
This website is great.
I would very much appreciate some help choosing a mattress please as we desperately need a new one.
Me – 5ft 3, 11 stone
Him – 6 ft 2, 17 stone
Budget – up to £600
Standard double bed with slats
I sleep on my side but have been getting hip pains recently
He sleeps on his side or back (depends where he ends up after I push him around to stop his incessant snoring!). He gets very hot when sleeping.
We can’t afford the zip together artisan option so I have looked at the Origins Pocket 1500 with a 2000 spring count to accommodate his weight. Will this be too firm for me?
What would your recommendation be please to stop me bouncing around every time he turns over (I have already considered separate beds but we have no spare room and separating but I like him too much!).
Many thanks for your time and considered reply.

Hi Emma,

Thanks for your question.

The Origins Pocket 1500 with 2000 springs would be fine for your husband, but for you this would be extremely firm.

Your bodyweightThis will feel
Under 10 Stone / 63kgMedium
10-12 Stone / 63-76kgMedium
12-14 Stone / 76-88kgMedium
14-16 Stone / 88-101kgMedium
16-18 Stone / 101-114kgSoft to Medium
18 Stone / 114kg PlusPlease call for advice

I would suggest that you look at the Origins Pocket Reflex 1000, which is the mattress we recommend because it can accommodate a wider range of body weights and incidentally, it is cheaper than the 1500.

If you would like to discuss this mattress in more detail prior to placing an order, please call our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards Gary
