Tension and comfort

Thank you for your question on our website.

At your body weights we would match you both to a Medium spring tension. Spring tension is determined solely by body weight.  Your wife is borderline between a soft or medium spring so if she wants something with a bit more give she could choose a soft.  This can be achieved with either a duel spring mattress or the zip and link option.  This option is also advantageous for larger mattresses especially if there could be problems with access to your property.

The Artisan Bespoke 004 is very much a true medium feeling model in the top layer; This will give a slight sink but not too much. This also has the benefit of having 100% natural fillings in the construction giving a cool sleep surface.

Anyone who is a side sleeper should avoid anything too firm in the top layers (as this can cause pressure pains in the shoulders, hips and knees) so a medium will be absolutely fine.
