Topper advice for Artisan Bespoke

Robert asked
25th October 2012

Hi again guys WhiIst waiting for my sumptuous (I trust) new bed to arrive I have taken your advice and ordered a topper – a 900 gsm all British Platinum Wool one from Devon Duvets. It’s not cheap, £150 for a double size, but as the mattress of the Artisan Bespoke has natural fillings I thought I’d continue the theme for the topper. If that’s the way Savoir Beds do it, then that’s good enough for me. Of course, new Egyptian Cotton sheets will now be required, or so my wife informs me, so what started out as a search for just a new mattress has ended in a wallet-emptying exercise of epic proportions. What do you think of my choice of topper?

I trust it meets with you approval. .

Hi Robert.

Its a good topper for a good price.

£150 is not particularly expensive.

If you look at the Vi Spring Coronet mattress you will see that the upholstery element on top of the 1300gsm insulating layer is “two layers of 300gsm British fleece wool and overlaid with a layer of 1,200gsm blended British fleece wool and cotton.” This is 1800gsm or the equivalent to two of your toppers.

The retail price of the Coronet Mattress puts it into perspective.
