Topper for cheap mattress and slatted bed

Mattress toppers are used primarily to provide an extra comfort layer and to soften the feel of a mattress which may be feeling too firm or uncomfortable. A mattress topper will not improve the feel of a cheap mattress as it will only tend to dip where the mattress dips and will not provide any additional support. It may be worth considering the investment in a new mattress of better quality rather than opting for a short-term fix provided by a topper.
