Best mattress for Chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoporosis?

Jo asked
31st July 2017

Hi
I’m 41 years old with chronic rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis. I’m 5.7 and only 52kg.
I have problems with soft materesses making my bones ache and bouncing me around when my husband moves!
He is 6ft and 73kg.
I’m desperate for a mattress that will support my very weak and sore bones and not dip or sink. Also I’m very slight so I need it not to be the type that hurts as it feels too hard
I’ve given up in the shops trying each mattress for 5mins is not very realistic.
I’m struggling to sleep and just want some genuine honest expert advice.
Thanks

Hi Jo,

Thank you for your question.

Your husband is matched to a Medium spring tension whereas you are matched to a Soft spring tension.

The spring tension is what provides you with the correct level of support within the mattress itself.

Here, you would need a dual spring tension; one half would be soft for you and the other half medium for your husband.

Our Artisan range allows you to have both spring tensions in the one mattress; I would advise looking at our Artisan 1500.

This mattress is not too soft nor too firm and comes in feeling very medium in its comfort layers.

If you were looking for something softer feeling then I would recommend our Artisan Luxury mattress.

This mattress has 100% natural fibres and materials and as such comes in feeling cooler; Brilliant for anyone who identifies as a ‘hot’ sleeper.

I hope this answered your question fully but if you do have any further queries then please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
