TAKE OUR MATTRESS QUIZ

What dual tension mattress is best for us?

Bill asked
19th October 2014

Hi, I unfortunately am more than twice my wife’s weight (200lbs v 100lbs) we currently sleep on a so called memory foam which is 12 years old. I think I might slide out one of those nights and a pronounced firm lump has developed right down the middle. Have you any advice regarding our next purchase please?

Thank you Bill PS I echo the pervious commenter. >

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your question.

At your body weights you will require a split tension mattress to get that different level of support; Your wife will need a Soft spring and you a Medium;

BodyweightSpring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kgMedium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call)Soft (1.2mm)

Please note that the ridge in the middle will be due to the fact that the middle surface isn’t being slept on.

Have a look within our Artisan range – This will give you an opposite sensation to Memory Foam as Memory Foam requires heat retention to adapt to your body movements whereas the natural fillings in the Artisan range will give a cool sleep surface.

We would need to know your sleeping habits and preferred feel in order to discuss suitable models with yourself.

Please contact us on 0161 437 4419 in order to discuss this further.

Kind Regards, Lee.
