Which John Ryan mattress is right for me? Rob Mcintosh asked 16th September 2017 Hi, I am looking for a good quality mattress, I am 5’10 and 12st, my wife is 5’8 and 9st, would like to go for Artisan Natural but might just be out of my price range, can you recommend another? Would the Artisan 1500 be a good option? Thanks Rob Pocket springsArtisan 1 answer 0 Vote Up Vote Down Lee Lelant Staff answered 1 year ago Good Morning Rob, Thank you for your question. At the body weights provided we would match you both to a Medium spring tension; This is what provides the support from inside the mattress itself and is determined solely by your body weights. BodyweightSpring tension Upto 9 Stone / 57kgSoft 9-16 Stone / 57-101kgMedium 16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm The Artisan Naturals is the true medium feeling model in the comfort layers in the Artisan range. The comfort layers are the top upholstery that you sleep on top of on top of the springs. However, the first 4 models in the Artisan range are all medium feeling overall with only slight differences between them due to a differing percentage of natural fibres and materials. The first 4 models in that range are the Artisan 1500, Tailored Pocket 2000, Naturals and Bespoke 004. As such, the Artisan 1500 will absolutely be a great alternative but just comes in feeling ever so slightly firmer than the Naturals. I hope that this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries then please don’t hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419. Kind Regards, Lee.
