Which mattress is best for side sleepers?
My husband and I desperately need a new mattress, I am waking up with a very stiff lower back every day and generally not sleeping well. I am 4\’11\” and weigh between 8 and 9 stone, my husband is 5\’8\” and weighs about 13 stone. We both sleep on our sides, my husband is like a radiator whereas I feel the cold. Our base is slatted.Is there any other information that would help you advice us on the right mattress?

With your weight differential, we would suggest a split spring tension, soft for you and medium for your husband. In addition, we note you are both side sleepers and as such, it is important that you opt for the right level of upholstery. Please view the Artisan Luxury, which can have the spring tension selected as one side soft and one side medium in king size and above.
This mattress has soft upholstery layers to provide the comfort required by you both when sleeping on your sides.
This mattress can be used on a slatted base, however, we would advocate placing a barrier, usually thin (3-5mm) MDF over the slats to provide the mattress with a uniform surface upon which to sit and prevent the mattress from ridging as a result of it dipping into the gaps between the slats.
