Zip and link separate mattresses and bases

Like a previous query I weigh 9st, am 5.8, sleep on my side. I suffer from shoulder and neck pain, and sometimes lower back hip. We have a memory foam/ latex 5ft mattress on a sprung, 2 part base. It\’s about 10 years old, the base 30! Husband is 6feet tall, and eights 16.5 stone. I think we need separate mattresses now as he is getting heavier and uses up more bed space. Access to our room is limited, do zip and link beds come with split bases too? Also, what would you recommend for each of us? Husband can sleep anywhere, but has had previous work related lower back injury in the past. Also, he often sleeps on his back and tends to snore…not sure if bed type could improve this or not? I like the idea of a 6ft bed for more sleeping room…..might be a tight squeeze but could be doable if 6 ft would make a lot of difference……Thanks for any advicePs….we live in a rural area and access is poor.

Thank you for your question.

At 16.5 stone your husband can opt for either a Medium spring or a Firm spring. The Medium spring would give him a bit more give and the Firm would give him a bit more support.
He is borderline between the two springs so can choose either. You yourself will be matched with a Medium spring. Spring tension is solely determined by body weight as you need this to provide you with the correct level of support.

The Zip and Link base, once selected, will come just like the mattress – Split into 2 pieces with the option of using them together or independently.

Anyone with back pains should choose something either Medium or Soft within the top upholstery (also referred to as the comfort layers). As such I would recommend our Origins Pocket 1500, Artisan Naturals or Artisan Bespoke 004 mattresses.
