Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your question.

Zip and Link mattresses are ideal where a one piece mattress won’t fit the property, where you might struggle to flip and rotate a one piece mattress, where one user tends to disturb the other or where there is a big difference between body weights.

In a one piece Artisan mattress (Pocket sprung with natural fillings) you can have a dual tension but you can only go one way either side. I.e, you can have a Soft and Medium split or a Medium and Firm split. In a Zip and Link mattress you can have that Soft and Firm split (if there was a really big difference in body weights).

A King Size Zip and Link mattress will give you 2 mattresses measuring 2ft 6 inches in the width by 6ft 6 inches in the length.

You will know that there are 2 separate mattresses as there is the piping around the outside edge of each mattress and the zips sit beneath the piping. If you want to have a more uniform surface then you might want to look into adding a mattress topper.
