Talalay latex density

amikaknight asked

Can you tell me if Talalay is softer than other types of latex and is this what you use for your mattresses. I’ve been told that it’s not as firm/hard to lie on and therefore a little bit more comfortable to lie on. Also can you tell me what the density of the Fusion 5 and 6. Thank you

Hi amikaknight,

Thanks for your question.

Talalay is softer than Dunlop and this is mainly down to the process of construction that makes it softer.

Our Fusion range is 100% Natural Latex constructed with the Dunlop method giving a more supportive feel.

Our Origins Pocket Latex 1500 mattress has a 60KG Talalay top layer built in. The Talalay here is used more as a comfort layer as you’ll get support from the springs and then the latex as the comfort because you’ll sink in a bit more here with the Talalay.

Our Fusion 5 is 70KG Medium density whereas our Fusion 6 is 80KG Firm density.

Please note that we’re not currently retailing our Fusion range of products for at least 16 weeks as we can’t source the same quality of product and aren’t willing to compromise on our quality.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don’t hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
