Weight ?

Hello
We have come across your company, and are very interested.
We have been reading the website, and still would welcome your thoughts.
I am 6 foot 20 stone, wife 5’10, 15 stone.
I prefer firm, wife likes some give.
We would be buying King Size.
We could go Origins 2000 spring latex, Artisan tailored 2000 medium /firm or perhaps the Artisan Naturals, 1600 calico spring, medium/firm ?
Because of my size I am wondering which is best, 2000 firm pocket spring, or 1600 calico firm spring.
One is more springs, but how does it equate, to less of a better spring ?
We would appreciate your thoughts on this please.
Thanks

Hi Warren,

Thank you for your enquiry.

You are correct is asserting that a split spring tension is most appropriate for your particular body weights. Although the Origins Pocket Latex 2000 will provide a firm feel, it may be too firm for your wife. The spring unit is a standard medium spring, but when 2000 are used it produces that firmer feel.

The models in the Artisan range that you refer to are naturally upholstered and the actual spring tension can be selected to suit, so although the Tailored Pocket has 2000 springs, if these are selected as firm and medium, a different gauge of metal is used to create the right tension. Such split tension mattresses are only available in the Artisan range in a one piece in king size and above or in a zip and link set.

Of the Artisan products you refer to, the Artisan Tailored Pocket 2000, is likely to provide the best overall feel if chosen with the split spring tension of medium and firm as suggested above.

We trust that the above is of help to you, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office on 0161 437 4419 and speak with one of our advisors.

Kind regards Julie
