Artisan luxury suitable for 18 stone sleeper?

The Artisan Luxury is the softest feel mattress we have in the Artisan range.

 

 

You will require a split tension mattress. For your weight, at 18 stone you would require a Firm spring tension. Spring tensions are designed with weight tolerances in mind and are not mean to be an indication of how ‘firm’ the mattress feels. Confusing eh! The upholstery layers are what gives a mattress the majority of its firmness, not just the spring unit. At your wife’s weight she will require a Medium spring tension.

The Artisan Luxury contains 2 layers of horsetail and horse hair, both 1200GSM. Which gives it a very soft but rebound feel in the top layer. If you’re looking for a soft feel mattress in the top layer then this would be ideal. However, if you’re looking for something with a more medium feel have a look at the Artisan Bespoke 004 which would give a slightly firmer feel in the top layer.
