Base for John Lewis Natural 4000 small double mattress

Our bases can be used with most mattresses available out there.

Our Contemporary Platform Divan base is a solid top base and a solid top base will give any mattress going on top of it a slightly firmer feel as the spring tension is firmed up.

Our Ottoman base will do exactly the same thing and give the mattress a slightly firmer feel, especially as this is our sturdiest base that we construct. This base opens from the bottom upwards and is constructed using 800 newton gas struts. It will support mattress weights of up to 85KG.

If you’re in any doubt about base suitability then I’d recommend speaking to the retailer you purchased the mattress from to get their advice.
