Comparing Relyon Tarporley with Origins Pocket 1500

Jenny asked
8th June 2017

Hello. Looking for a mattress to offer good support, soft for husband and medium for me, 16st and 13st respectively. Both suffer with lower back problems from time to time, hence the need for good support. Do you have any knowledge of the Relyon Tarporley? Very tempted by your Origins 1500 mattress but £200 difference in price so trying to weigh up options. We have king size. Many thanks.

Hi Jenny,

Thank you for your question.

The Relyon Tarporley mattress is a non-turn mattress and has a layer of memory foam.  We do not sell any mattresses that have memory foam in them as this type of mattress can retain heat as memory foam needs your body heat to make it responsive.  Also it has been found that hollows and dips can form in this type of mattress due to the fact that you can only rotate it.

Our Origins Pocket 1500 is a fully turnable  pocket sprung mattress which will give the product twice the life span of a mattress that cannot be turned and rotate.   This mattress also has a layer of natural fillings being the wool content.  It has a medium comfort layer and comes with a medium spring tension which will suit a large large of body weights.

I hope the above is of assistance to you but please do not hesitate to telephone me on 0161 437 4419

Regards Julie
