Hypnos Ortho Latex on Ebay
Hi John and Ryan, My husband and I are in need of a new bed.
We found a good deal (Ebay) on the Hypnos Orthos Latex mattress in zip & link king size (2x75x200).
I was wondering about the quality of such mattress.
There are no details available about the amount of pocket springs in this type of mattress.

Also, I am wondering how comfortable this mattress would be where the 2 parts are joined-as most couple, we do like to cuddle in bed 😉 and are toddler likes to wiggle himself between us early mornings 🙂 RRP is about £2500 but we would be getting it at a fraction of the price, less than £400 for a new mattress.

The RRP of this mattress is a joke. It can commonly be found for around £1200 for a ziplink set and so I would say the buy you have found is well worth it.
This is not to say that it will be suitable for you, that becomes your decision.
Hypnos only utilise pocket springs. This particular model uses the ReActive ten turn which is not the bottom end but neither is it top end (Top end uses the Ultrasens spring system).
I think for £400 you have found a good buy, and if it is not perfect, there are means and ways to adapt it to suit you.
Most people do not notice the join between the mattresses especially once you have the mattress protector and the fitted sheet in place. If you were to find that you are sensitive to this feel a mattress topper would eliminate the problem.
