John Brown asked
16th January 2017

We want two single 3 foot wide beds that can be either used as singles or joined together for occasional use in our guest bedroom. We do not want there to be an obvious bump where the beds join together. The beds have to be comfortable but as thy will only be used occassionaly not premium quality.Can you provide a price and delivery for providing this.Regards, John

Hi John

Thank you for your question.

What you are looking for are zip link mattresses and bases. These are the mattresses that have a zip down the middle to zip together and make one larger mattress, or split to make two smaller mattresses.

The size you are looking for is the Extra King size which makes 2 standard single sizes when split, and the Super King size zip link, makes two 3 ft but 6 ft 6 in long mattresses when split, which is 3 in longer than a standard single mattress which is 6 ft 3 in long.

We offer these sizes in all the Origins range, and Artisan range products.

The Origins range are the cheaper models, and the Origins Pocket Reflex or Origins Pocket 1500, would be 2 models to consider, which would be more than substantial in a guest room.

We would, however, need to know your body weights to discuss spring tension as this is the only thing that determines the correct tension. Below are our guidelines;

BodyweightSpring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kgMedium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call)Soft (1.2mm)

We don’t charge for delivery anywhere on the UK mainland.

If you require any further assistance please call the office on 0161 437 4419. Our office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Kind Regards Gary
