Our pocket sprung mattresses consist of our Origins and Artisan range.

Our Origins range is our starter range and is constructed from man-made materials. Our Artisan range are constructed from natural fibres and materials meaning, in general, they are cooler and a little bit softer than our Origins range.

I would recommend looking at our Origins Pocket 1500 and our Artisan 1500. These are very medium feeling in their comfort layers; i.e, not too soft nor too firm and provide overall fantastic support.

Both of these ranges are absolutely fine to go on to a slatted base; We would just advise that you place an old duvet over the slats just while the mattress settles.

In terms of your question regarding a base, it really depends on the condition of your existing base. If there is nothing wrong with it then don’t go to the extra expense of replacing it with a brand new model.

Our Origins and Artisan models are perfect to go on to any of our bed bases. Our Ottoman base provides storage without the use of drawers whereas all our other models can have drawers added for different storage needs.
