Mattress comparison viscool

HI, having tried an Icon Viscoool Ortho Mattress at carpetright me and my partner found it to suit us firmness wise. However at £1099 and with little information available about its construction I suspect it is overpriced and not built to last. Would you be able to point us to an alternative within your own range.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for getting in touch about Viscool. It’s a hybrid foam that sensaform use and yes you’re right there no information available about the aspects you would need to know to accurately compare this foam to others.

Unless you know the density, hardness and thickness of foams it’s impossible to compare like for like. If a supplier can’t disclose this we would advise you find another supplier who can. Many wont disclose this as it allows you to see the inferior from the superior and retailers are often not wanting this comparison to be drawn!

If you like that firmer feel please have a look at our Hybrid 5 model. We disclose the foams we use, a 70kg coolblue as the comfort and topper layer for example in 7.5cm depths, so you can compare. It comes with a removable turnable topper and is fully tape edged like all quality traditional mattresses are.
