Ottoman base – mattress weight
Hi, would the silentnight double radley miracoil (24kg weight) or the silentnight delamere (29kg weight) be suitable for your ottoman base please?

Thank you for your question.
Our Ottoman bases are designed to hold a weight of up to 85kg.
The closer to this weight the mattress is the easier the base will be to close.
The Ottoman base comes with 800-newton gas struts and will require some force to open the base and then the struts will take over.
In terms of closing, we always advise leaving the mattress on the base as the extra weight will help to force the base closed.
As such the mattresses mentioned can be used on the base but they won’t really help to close it as they are a fair bit of the weight that they are designed to hold.
