A springy slatted base paired with a pocket sprung mattress
We have been badly advised! We have a super king slatted frame with central piece and a pocket sprung mattress which has collapsed after 4 months? We are desperate. We love the look of the base from the outside.

Sorry to hear your sprung slatted base has collapsed. We always advise people that are buying mattresses to pair up with existing divans, especially ones that need a central support bar that they double check the base is sturdy enough. From the sounds of it, the mattress has been too heavy for your base.
The only thing we can suggest is that you speak to the manufacturer of the base to see if there is anything they can do for you and try a repair? It will no doubt need further reinforcements for the mattress by the sound of it.
