The Legacy mattress vs Legacy 2?

Many thanks for your question about our Legacy mattress one of the UK’s finest traceable natural fibre mattresses.

The Legacy has been a work in progress for years in sampling the UK’s finest natural fibres to create the most luxurious and carbon-conscious mattress. Given that most other natural fibres used in mattresses are flown sometimes from as far as Asia it was important for us to provide an offering for the more discerning client that wanted a UK sourced mattress.

The Legacy was the first iteration, the concept if you will. We had sourced 90% of the fibres from the UK including soft Alpaca.

We also designed a 100% wool mattress base using a heritage British loom and Scottish wool. We sold it for a couple of years but then realised from the feedback that people wanted the mattress on its own rather than the entire offering of base, pad and mattress. Feedback also stated that they prefered both sides to have the same feel, whereas the Legacy has a soft and a firm side.

Eventually, we removed the base and pad from sale and tweaked the mattress so it was the same on both sides.

So now the Legacy 2 is a mattress that is 100% natural and features a whopping 5400GSM of these breathable luxury natural fibres. Available in 3 spring tensions and can be coupled with our divan base offerings.
