Vi Spring Devonshire bed
After much deliberation my husband and I both fell in love with the Devonshire divan,medium for him,12stone,and soft for me 8 stone. Arrived 1 week ago and is nothing like the one in the store,it is so hard and uncomfortable. I contacted vi Spring who told me it can take up to 3 months to feel as soft as the showroom model!! Don’t think I can stand another 3 nights let alone 3 months. I can’t possibly lay on my side as it is far too firm. We are deeply disappointed as it was a lot of money for a bed for us. My husband recently broke his back so comfort is very important at the moment. Will it take time to soften like the showroom model? I was expecting to feel like I was sleeping on a cloud,feels more like sleeping on a brick.

Mattresses do soften over a period of time, and your experience of a brand new mattress, feeling firmer than the showroom mode,l is not unique, this happens all the time. I would recommend that you look to add a rather deep mattress topper, which will add that extra soft layer to sink into, and instantly soften the feel, this will help in the interim period whilst the mattress is softening below.
