Maureen asked

I am very interested in the Double Artisan 1500 mattress and base but before making a decision would like your comments on which spring tension would be the best for myself and my husband? My husband suffers with cervical stenosis and is in constant pain and is just under 9 stone and I have no health problems and weigh 8 stone 4 pounds
Kind regards

Hi Maureen,

Thank you for your question.

With your body weights I would suggest that you opt for a soft spring tension, anything firmer is likely to aggravate the problems suffered by your husband.

BodyweightSpring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kgMedium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call)Soft (1.2mm)

Luxury artisan mattress

This mattress does have a more medium to firm top layer so if after sleeping on the mattress your husband finds that he needs extra comfort, then I would suggest you add a soft topper to alleviate any discomfort.

I trust that this helps, but in any event, once your order has been placed you will receive a call from us to check that you have ordered the correct tension based on your requirements.

Kind regards Julie
