Marie-Claire Choquette asked

Hello,
I would like to know if it is normal that the fabric covering of a mattress pills ?
And if so what is the reason if a mattress is only 2 years old.
Thank you very much for your support

Hi Marie-Claire,

Thank you for your enquiry.  Fabrics made of fibre blends are more susceptible to pilling. Fibre blends combine natural and synthetic fibres, and they are more likely to rub together and form pills. This is especially true for fabrics with three or more different types of fibres. Materials that have a tendency to pill the most are cotton, wool, nylon, polyester and acrylic.

Pills or bobbles can easily be removed with a clothes shaver, razor or scissors and will not be detrimental to your mattress.

I hope this helps and if you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards
Michaela
