Can you provide extra-long single toppers for SKS Zip & Link?
I am starting up a holiday let and would like to put in a Superking Zip Link bed in one room, with two single headboards so it can be set up as 2 single beds or one superking. However, I see that this means I will have 2 single beds which are longer than a standard single by 10 cm. This is a good idea as I believe that a single bed is too short for a tall man (or woman!) I know I can get hold of sheets to fit these extra long mattresses, but I see that you don’t have extra long single mattress toppers on your site. Do you recommend adding these in a holiday let, or not? I see that the bed you recommend for guest houses is medium with a firm top. You don’t recommend me to buy firm mattresses as most other retailers do?

Thank you for your question. With all of our products, we would not recommend the purchase of a mattress topper until you have had the mattress for at least 14 days as it may not be necessary. For holiday lets, we recommend our Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 as this is suitable for a wide range of body weights and because the usage is transient, the topper would need to be applied or taken off after you were made aware of the body weights and preferred feel of the people using the mattress, a bit of a faff, really.
Over the last few years, we have supplied this mattress to a large number of holiday lets/B&Bs and have yet to receive an order for a topper to accompany the mattress, which speaks for itself.
The choice of the zip and link option is ideal for B&Bs and holiday lets as it lets you have the larger bed for couples or they can be separated to turn the room into a twin bedroom.
