Questions about Millbrook mattresses

A customer asked

Hi. I am currently looking for a new king size mattress and am interested in a Millbrook 2000. I have been looking on several websites and find that the Millbrook 2000 has many names, e.g. Millbrook Divine, Puccini, Divinet, Devotion, Jupiter, Royal etc. Can you tell me if they are the same mattress but with the sellers own name, as the specification seems much the same. Secondly, would you consider this mattress to be quite a good one?

I would be very grateful for your comments. Many thanks
.

Hi Keith.

Give Millbrook a call on 0845 373 1111 and ask them this very same question.

If I was in the market for a new mattress I would have less hair then I already have through frustration trying to differentiate the actual differences in models from Millbrook.

As I have said countless times before, the information you actually need to know to make an informed choice is not present in any of their descriptions.

"luxuriously upholstered with sumptuous warm fillings " tells you bugger all, and if they are not prepared to tell you where your hundreds of pounds are being spent then go elsewhere.

To show other readers what you are up against this is the breakdown of differences from what we can glean ; The Millbrook Divine: Two sided - polyester/cotton - pure new lambswool - 3 rows HSS The Millbrook Puccini: [Sillouette Collection] Non Turn - Soft white fibres - Wool Blend - Soft Cotton blend - Silk blend - 3 rows HSS The Millbrook Divinet: We have no record of Millbrook doing this model.

The Millbrook Devotion: Two sided - wool - polyester and cotton - 3 rows HSS The Millbrook Jupiter: [Planets Collection] Assume two sided - Soft Cotton - Pashmina - 3 rows HSS The Millbrook Royal: polyester and cotton - lambswool and silk - 3 rows HSS (assume) Note: The Royal is described as 2500 springs and also 3000 springs as well as there being a Royal Backcare 1000.

There are only two catagoric pertinent questions to ask about the models you mention: 1.

What are the weights GSM [Grams per Square Meter] of the upholstery in each model?

2.

The description says HAND side stitched.

Is this correct?

Knowing the answers to just these two simple questions will enable you to do the most basic comparisons.

When you have this information you can then shop by content - NOT BRAND, to see who is offering you the most for your money.

Hope this helps Keith and be sure to let us know of your findings.

John and Ryan.
