Do I feel the zips on ziplink mattress?

Hello I have been thinking about getting a zip and link bed for a while, but am worried that the middle edge where beds are zipped might be felt as either a gap or a ridge, I understand the actual zip may be lower and hidden, but as edge stands up wondered if you had any views or advice on this, is a topper is the only way to perhaps avoid this please?

Thank you for your question.
There is no doubt about it Carrie, you will feel the place where the two mattresses meet due to the fact that a zip link mattress is two separate mattresses zipped together.
Ryan put this to the test a couple of years ago and concluded that the addition of a good topper helped considerably to minimise the 'bridge'.
It has to be said though, the benefits that this design offers far outweighs this compromise.
