The main objection to pillow tops come into what you are expected to pay for them and the lifespan you will get out of them. Just like a one sided mattress, you will be unable to turn it so when the pillowtop layer becomes indented and worn, you will eventually have to replace the entire mattress even though the spring support will be sufficiently OK.

Considering that there are literally thousands of models out there, you really do need to have some sort of game plan in order for you to be able to select the best available for your budget.

The options you give above are completely different in price range and build construction.

If your budget is £1000 you should be concentrating on what mattresses out there are available for your requirements [you do not mention your bodyweight which is absolutely crucial - eg: no point in looking at orthopaedic mattresses if your weight does not require it].

Like we have said countless times before, the problem of manufacturers and retailers not giving you specific component details in order for you to do adequate comparisons will become quite apparent relatively quickly in your search and no doubt be the source of your complete frustration.

It is not acceptable in this day and age to expect a customer to shell out what is a significant amount of money on a list of exaggerated materials without backing this up with any weights or measures.
