A question on mattress style versus comfort

Hi, guys, really great website. We have just purchased a bed from Go Modern (www.gomodern.co.uk ) - the Evita. We chose it for its style and the slight wave shape of the headboard. We want to buy a mattress for it and I had settled on your Origins Pocket 1500 - Kingsize, I am 9.5 stone, my husband 12. Both of us have suffered back problems on and off. However, my concern is the depth of the mattress - you point out that it is packed full and therefore measures more like 11", which sounds lovely except that it sounds like it could completely dominate the bed and my lovely headboard might be almost hidden!
Do you have any similar options that might be a little shallower?
I realise it may be a question of style versus comfort but hope to find a compromise!

This is a perfect example of form over function.
I had a look at the bedstead you refer to and completely understand your reservations over the Mattress size.
Bear in mind that all mattresses of worth will be in the region of 10 inches deep. Anything less than this can realistically be deemed as inferior.
For your new bedframe to put a satisfying smile on your face each and every night it really does have to be completed with a decent mattress.
There is no doubt about it that if you are not sleeping comfortably, the shine of this (absolutely fabulous by the way) bedframe will begin to niggle you.
With all this in mind I would ask you to extend your budget to at least the Artisan Naturals to keep the balance between Bedframe and Mattress in perspective. This mattress has 84% natural fillings and has an overall medium comfort meaning that the mattress is neither too soft nor too firm. I would also recommend a medium spring tension to give you the correct support for your body weights.
