Hi Guys, I am looking to replace my Rest Assured pocket quilted Bliss mattress with a new double one and have no idea which type to go for.

I weigh 8 stone and wake every morning with back ache which only goes once I get up and move around for a while.

I have a 5 cm memory foam topper and I still get back ache.

I am the only one sleeping in the bed.

I'm thinking if getting a shaker style wooden slatted bed frame.

I find 99.9% of beds far too hard and need some advice.

Thank you.

Hi Pam.

It's understandable that you find most mattresses too firm - there's not enough of you to 'sink' into the mattress.

The most ideal mattress for you (out there) is The Vi Spring Shetland Superb, however at around the six grand mark it puts most people off!

I'm a bit surprised that a 5 cm Micro Fibre topper hasn't helped but ..

if the underlying mattress is past its sell by date it won't.

You will find that when you use it on your new mattress the difference will be unbelievable.

If you have been following the comments made here by Hippy, you will see that we don't have anything entirely suitable for you from our range - except The Origins Comfort (which is far superior to The Bliss you have but as it is a high loft mattress (well filled) the addition of your topper at 5cm will bring the total depth to about 30 cm - 35 cm(something worth bearing in mind).

Hope this helps Pam, please let me know how you get on.

Kind Regards Gary
