Husband fidgets - what mattress?

A customer asked

Hello, I have real trouble sleeping as my husband fidget's in his sleep and me being a very very light sleeper I often only sleep for an hour or two at night time. I have tried several different mattresses now and I am having no joy at all. Each mattress I've tried Memory Foam or Pocket Spring I can still feel every movement my husband makes, even if he just moves his foot it feels like I'm on a water bed!

I am looking at the Super king Zip and Link Mattresses as we currently have a Super king slated bed. Do you recommend these to couples?

Would it help eliminate all movement from my husband even if the mattresses are zipped together. Please help with your advise. Thank you Lisa "

Hi Lisa,

Thank you for your question.

It sounds to me like you are really sensitive to the movements your husband makes. Generally, this affects people who are in too small a bed or the mattress is cage sprung.

A zip & link mattress means that each side of the bed is totally independent of each other thereby totally eliminating that 'roll together' therefore you should not feel your husband moving about.

We have two ranges of pocket sprung mattresses which can be made as a zip & link, our Origins Range which have man made fillings and our Artisan Range which have natural fillings.  We would really need to know your body weights and preferred feel in order for us to recommend a mattress from either of these ranges.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

Could you please telephone the office on 0161 437 4419 in order to discuss the mattress further where we will then be able to recommend the right mattress for you.

Kind regards Julie
