A customer asked

Hi my husband is around 20st and I am 16st.

We have recently and July bought an extra firm Sealy posturepedic mattress and have already noticed dips in the mattress.

We have been rotating the mattress on a monthly basis but it hasn't helped.

Could you recommend a king size mattress which ultra firm and will last longer under our weight.

Looking at a budget of 700.

Hi Alpachino,

We are on the process of finalising our new 'Firmcore' mattress range made specifically for the larger sleeper or lighter sleeper who prefers a really firm mattress.

The issue with heavier sleepers is that the mattress can compress quicker than usual.

The main need for a mattress suitable for heavier sleeperes is a mattress you can turn and rotate to even out such wear.

I'm guessing your mattress is a one sided one hence the rotating only.

Our new range are fully turnable and rotatable meaning you can even out such wear.

Our Firmcore 1 with a Laygel topper will be in the region of your budget but we have yet to fully launch the range.

If you are interested we are offering these at a substantial discount to customers who want to buy one in advance of the launch date of the firmcore range.

Please call us directly to discuss.
