A customer asked

Hi i wonder if you coukd help me out picking a mattress that is right for me.

I weigh 90kg i am in bed for about 20 hours a day i have fibromyalgia and asthma.

At the moment my mattress is a spring coil with a layer of memory foam on top but is to hard for me so i have a memory egg shell topper on top my budget is under £400.

Thanks hope you can help >

Hi Diane,

Thanks for your question.

From our limited understanding of fibromyalgia, I understand that pressure relief is the issue we are trying to resolve and bearing this in mind, I would have recommended our Origins Comfort 1000 mattress coupled with your existing topper. This mattress has the softest top layers within the Origins range and will allow that pressure relief.

At your body weight the Medium spring tension in this mattress will support you correctly;

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

However, given your budget, which limits your choice, I would confirm that we may have within our Outlet section a suitable mattress, which meets both your budget requirements and physical restrictions.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, John and Ryan.
