A customer asked

I currently have a kingsize rejuvenate mattress with 2400 pocket springs, natural latex, quilted pillow top which has developed a problem. Is been inspected and the insurance have agreed a replacement. They have offered a Thera pur vitality mattress as an like for like replacement. Please could you offer your advice as to if this is a fair offer. As it has only 2000 pocket springs. Worried as to wether they are not being honest. They tried to sell me a different mattress when I went through to sales for my mattress equivalent. Please help

Hi Debbie,

I have not been able to find the Rejuvenate mattress online and am therefore unable to do any comparison with the Therapur Vitality mattress. What I would say, however, is that we would never recommend a pillow top mattress because the tendency is for the top to flatten over a short period of time, which means that the whole mattress needs to be replaced in the short term.

It also means that the mattress is one-sided also reducing the lifespan. Perhaps the issue you have experienced with the Rejuvenate mattress is associated with the pillow top failing, in which case, avoid another pillow top at all costs. It may be worth asking them if they have another mattress without a pillow top that you could swap for and look to purchase a separate topper at a later date if one is required.

I hope that this helps, if you have any further question please don't hesitte to contact the office on 0161 437 4419
