Bunk beds mattress questions

Hi John and Ryan, I've enjoyed reading and learning about all the different mattresses explained on your website. I am about to purchase bunk beds (without mattresses) as space is short for my grandchildren when they stay approximately four times a year. However, occasionally an adult may have to sleep on them. Any suggestions to the type of mattress I should buy?

Before we can provide a recommendation in respect of a mattress, it would be useful to know the ages and weights of the children at present and also the dimensions of the mattress area of the bunk beds.
