Mattresses for my second home

A customer asked

Hi, we have spent the last couple of days looking through your extraordinarily comprehensive website and have been most impressed. We are looking to buy a new king size bed for occasional use, say about 100 to 150 days spread throughout the year (2nd home). My weight is 10 stone, my wife 8st. 11lb. We are both about 5ft 4in. We are normally side sleepers. Our budget for the mattress only could stretch to £1000 but we would prefer to pay less if there is one which meets our needs. The main need is for a soft bed. My wife has difficulty with any mattress which is even moderately firm as she will invariably wake up with pins and needles due to pressure on hips and shoulders. Transition of movement can also be a problem as we are light sleepers. Would you advise that we look at a sprung divan base? What mattress from your range would you recommend?
Thank you

Hi Colin,
The most appropriate mattress from our ranges is the Origins Comfort 1000, which can be paired with a platform base for £650 without drawers, although these can be included at £40 a pair. This mattress is pocket sprung and is suitable for people of your body weights and being pocket sprung should assist with reducing the disturbance caused by movement. If you decide to opt for this product please call our office for further more specific advice as to its suitability for your needs. Kind regards Mike.
