best mattress to prevent hip pain

I wake up in night with hip pain with my present mattress. I am 10 stone and my husband about 11 stone. Our bed base is solid as it is an ottoman. What mattress would you recommend, bearing in mind we can only afford the lower end of the market? I sleep on my side.
