Latex manufacture is a very secretive process, the fact we have over the years managed to explain and show the behind the scenes of its manufacture with blends and construction methods has taken us sometime!
 
The 2-4% additives are a trade secret, each supplier has their own 'recipes' to help cure and set the latex. Gellation agents that set the latex and soaps are used in this process, but a bit like an award winning cake recipe the suppliers rightly guard this as a secret, a bit like Iron Bru!
 
What we can say to help reassure you is that our Latex is fully certified with the Oeko-tex standard. All of our latex products are routinely tested for harmful substances according to the Oeko-Tex Standard. Our products not only meet the requirements, but they were evaluated as class I, which is for baby articles. This is a worldwide standard.
