Hi we are looking to buy one of your mattresses (and bases) but wanted to have more of an idea of what we might like before ordering. With that in mind we went to Dreams and Bensons for Beds (all fairly terrible!) but liked the John Lewis Natural Collection Goat Angora 14000 Pocket Spring Mattress, King Size. I realise it isn't going to be an exact science but wondered if you had an idea of closest match to one of yours. We are looking at the Artisans range between the Naturals, Tailored Pocket 2000 and 1500. I might be willing to consider the Bespoke 004 too. I realise they have varying differences in springs and upholstery layers but I'm really struggling to understand how that translates to comfort. Forgive me if I'm being a bit dim!We have always thought we liked a firm bed but realise that we should be looking at medium. We are both between 13 & 15st. My husband overheats in bed and I move around a lot (apparently) - we think our existing fairly cheap mattress is at least partly to blame and it's not that comfortable.Finally, we'd like to put the mattress on one of your ottoman bases and have requested fabric samples. We've looked at a few of this style of base and some are really shoddily made. Also the pistons seem inadequate meaning you almost have to lift the mattress completely yourself. The one in JL took the weight so much better and was a bit more like opening a car boot. Again, how might this compare to yours please?
