First of all, many thanks for the very comprehensive and detailed information which you provide on your website. We have found this very useful so far and only wish we had seen it sooner.
We have a Vi Spring Bedstead Realm (soft tension) which has proved a very poor purchase. We are 64kg and 65kg in weight (1m 68 height) and were recommended this tension by the shop. Unfortunately, we did not follow our gut instinct and swap it, hoping that we would get used to it over time.
We have found the mattress to be very uncomfortable – wallowy, lacking in support and I find that by the morning the top layer has ‘filled’ the small of my back. We both ache in the morning. We have found the ‘luxurious’ ‘sink in’ feel of the Vi Spring to be uncomfortable, although obviously the main issue here could well be the lack of support offered by the soft tension.
We are looking to replace it with one of your models asap. We both tend to sleep on our sides, we have an old mattress topper lying on top of the sprung slats on our wooden bed frame (but could put a piece of wood on the slats instead if this is what you would recommend).
We have seen the Artisan 1500, and would welcome your advice on what we can expect from this mattress and how it might compare; are there any other models that you might suggest we look at too? We have had a Mammoth in the past too (Performance 22), which got very hot and which we found too hard, so we are keen to stick with pocket springs.
