The choices for bed bases :- bollel or sprung base, please explain differences and benefits of each

Julie Answered 8 months ago

Hi Rob,

Thank you for your question.

The difference between the Bonnel coil and the pocket sprung in our Artisan base is that the Bonnel coil is a continuous coil spring with springs added, similar to the spring system in older mattresses whereas the pocket springs are individually pocketed springs within a wooden frame for a 'true edge'.   They both do exactly the same in supporting the mattress but the Bonnel coil is cheaper. Sprung edge divans will soften the overall feel of a mattress slightly, being more forgiving.

We hope this assists but please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419 should you require any further information.  Our office hours are 8 am - 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am - 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Kind Regards

Michaela
