Loft conversion guest room

Hi there.
Having a loft conversion and this will be a guest bedroom so only occasional use. I definitely think the zip beds/mattresses are the way forward (primarily for getting it up the stairs!). I think we need to go for the king size so as not to swamp the room but also would like quite a low bed as the ceiling won't be very high and want to give the impression of height in the room. A bed with drawers too I think.
So with all those factors could you advise on frame and mattress please? Also, do I HAVE to have a headboard?

Good Morning Pip,

Thank you for your questions.

Given the fact that it is to be used in a guest room for occasional use I would recommend our Origins Pocket 1500 mattress.

The reason for this is that we compare it with the Premier Inn Hypnos mattress and as such is designed to hold a vast range of differing body weights.

With this mattress we would match it with our Origins Platform Base, which is a standard solid top base.

This base can be made to a lower height measurement. However, as you want drawers in the base then we wouldn't be able to make the base any lower.

Zip and Link's are a great tool as they can be used as 2 completely separate beds or 1 overall unit. They are also great where the access to the property is limited as they can be broken down allowing much easier movement.

You absolutely do not need to buy a Headboard. The benefits of a headboard are that they will protect the user from hitting the wall or sliding down but also add to the aesthetic of the overall bed.

I hope that this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries then please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
