Our Cot Mattresses have a water resistant cover not waterproof which is breathable. This means that if there was an accident this would need to be mopped up within a few hours otherwise the spillage would seep through the cover and into the natural fillings. It is then covered with a microfibre pinsonic zipped cover adding a final soft layer to the mattress. This is machine washable at 60degrees.
