Dear John Ryan
I came across your site whilst searching for the best combination of pocket Spring mattress for myself. I am small build 7 and a half stone in weight and currently sleeping on a Tempur topper on top of a marks and spencer Spring mattress. I do suffer with back & neck pain from disc compression (due to years in the beauty therapy industry) and have found the Tempur quite comfortable in the last 3 years with no overheating problems!
However my back seems to be worse then ever and I am wondering if this combination has been wrong for me.
I have seen a ottoman bed frame with slates that I would like and recently tried out
Which considering it was firm rating 4 I found it very comfortable.
However after reading all your website I am now very unsure.
Please can you advise me on one of your mattresses that compare to the igel Pegasus that would be best suited to my needs.

Hi Zehra,

With your light body weight I would not recommend any product with a medium or firm feel. We do not have any direct comparison to the product you refer to and the only mattress we make with pocket spring and latex if the Origins Pocket Latex 1500, however, this is likely to be too firm for you. With you back issues, I would suggest what you need is support from the spring unit and comfort from the upholstery layers. Please view the Origins Comfort 1000, or the Fusion 3 both of  which can be placed on a slatted base provided that you place a barrier, usually in the form of thin (3-5mm) MDF over the slats to prevent the mattress ridging as a result of dipping into the gaps between the slats.

Once you have viewed the above, if you require any further advice or guidance in respect of our products, please call our office.

Kind regards,
