Which JR mattress for ottoman storage bed

Hello there, would appreciate some advise before committing to purchasing a mattress please.I wish to replace my sons mattress ( small double) on his lift up storage bed (lifts from foot of bed by strap)My son is 20yrs old and is very much of average weight.The base has sprung slats which on information from your site we intend to cover with MDF once new mattress is purchased.I would also be grateful for direction in which topper is suitable for the new mattress.Thankyou for your time.JO

Thanks for your question.
Ideally, we would need to know your son's exact weight to fully advise and what kind of feel he prefers in a mattress.
However, our Origins and Artisan mattresses are suitable for use with Ottoman bases so maybe have a look at our best sellers to get a starter for ten and then give us a call to discuss further on 0161 437 4419.
In regards to mattress toppers we would always recommend giving any new mattress at least 4-6 weeks to get a true feel for it first. If after this period you're finding it too firm then look at adding a topper at that stage. Our toppers are only for use with foam or latex mattresses so have a look at an online company called Soak and Sleep.
