A customer asked

HiWe need to change our mattress and after reading through all points on your website we think that the Artisan Natural would be the best choice. Here are some facts, Our existing mattress is a king size Hypnos bought in 1998 !! To overcome the dips on either side we fitted a Dormer Topper but it hasn't helped much. We are both in our late 70's and weigh 12 stone and 9 stone. The two piece Divan base is sprung and is divided across the middle (Not lengthwise). Do you think we should continue using the topper recently purchased on the new mattressYour comments would be greatly appreciated. Finally, do you dispose of the old mattress

Hello there,

If your old base is in good order and not damaged, there is no reason why you cannot use it with a new Artisan Naturals mattress. I would suggest opting for a medium spring tension, even though one of your is borderline soft/medium and would refrain from using your existing topper until you have had your new mattress for at least 14 days, as you may find that it is not necessary.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

Our courier will be able to remove the mattress/bed for you. This is something you would need to discuss directly with them.

I hope this helps.
