My mattress with topper attached has developed a ridge. What can I do?

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your enquiry.

We do not recommend pillow top mattresses for the reason of the longevity of the mattress.

It is noted that you have not specified where the ridge is in terms of the position on the mattress. Ridges more often occur down the centre of a mattress and the main reasons for this are that this area of the mattress is not regularly slept on and many bases have a central support bar, which does not have any give making it appear to rise in the middle. We would advice placing some thin (3-5mm) MDF over your base as this will provide the mattress with a uniform surface upon which to sit and prevent ridging occurring as a result of the central support bar. If your base is not slatted with a central support, then we would suggest reporting the issue to the retailer and seeking advice from them as to how to resolve the issue.

We trust that this helps, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office on 0161 437 4419 and speak with one of our advisors.

Kind Regards.
