Any advice gratfully appreciated
Hi
We're looking for a 6' zip & link, the Origins pocket 1500 sounds great except we would want medium not too firm.
I suffer with missaligned facet joins & neck pain so want something like the latex on top for softer feel.
My husband suffers really bad with restless leg & at night it's his whole body that jumps he's asleep & it's me that's kept awake.
We have tried the Tempur which was great for restless leg I never felt a thing & my husband loved, but it was dreadful for me made my back far worse & as a result can no longer sleep on my right side. We had to let it go after 4 months @ a great loss financially. We then bought the Harrison's topped & tailored Eden which has been comfortably but we haven't been able to have zipped as I was kept awake with my husband restless leg, so now both base & mattress 2" apart, even if I unzipped & separated the mattress a couple inches I could still feel him jumping.
We're now looking to buy another & I would like a platform base with a mattress that has springs & leytex/memory top.
I've tried the Highgrove gel infusion pocket 2000 which feels good, but as the gel is rather new I'm a bit hesitant.
I also tried the Healthbeds Balmoral 8200 for 1/2 hr which was very comfy but my back kicked in I feel although comfy too firm.
We're both the same weight approx 66kg were mostly side sleepers.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Hello Lynda,
Thank you for your question.
The Origins Pocket 1500 zip & link mattress has a medium comfort layer which is what you are looking for.
It is a fully turnable mattress and comes with a 3 year guarantee (although we do expect this mattress to last a lot longer than this).
This mattress does not contain any latex in the top layers.
You would need to look at the Origins Pocket Latex 1500.
A zip & link mattress should alleviate feeling the other person moving around and so should provide you with a better sleep. We can only make a zip & link mattresses in a Pocket sprung mattress.
The origins Pocket Latex 1500 is a non-turnable mattress and you will only be able to rotate it round.
You will sink into the top latex layer and this will mold to your body shape which is what you require, but this mattress at your body weights will be a more firm to medium feel.
As you are both side sleepers, you should not sleep on anything that is too firm.
I hope the above is of assistance to you, but please do not hesitate to telephone me for further assistance on 0161 437 4419
King Regards Julie
